What's a 🥬 Distro?

Events during which we serve free tea to folks at food distributions.

When?

We do at least one Distro per month, year-round. Every second Saturday of the month, we serve free tea at the Riders4Rights food & clothing distribution.

Serving free tea at the food and clothing distribution hosted by Riders4Rights! Featuring Louise, the volunteer for the day.

Where?

The Distro with Riders4Rights is at Fulton Plaza in BedStuy, across from Jackie Robinson Playground.

We also do Distros with Club A and Collective Focus every so often, both of which are located on the Bushwick/BedStuy border.

Why?

Waiting in line at food distributions can be an uncomfortable (especially in the cold!) and sensitive experience – offering free tea to folks while they wait adds a layer of dignity, care, and warmth.

Our motto, "free tea for all," means that we are here to serve the people, especially those whom our society has failed in so many ways.

Can I volunteer to help at a Distro?
