What's a 🥬 Distro?

Events during which we serve free tea to community members while they wait in line for a food distribution to begin.

When?

Every second Saturday of the month! Sometimes more.
Check out our calendar to see upcoming 🥬 Distros!

Where?

Our most frequent location is Fulton Plaza in BedStuy, across from Jackie Robinson Playground. Sometimes in Bushwick!

Serving free tea at the food and clothing distribution hosted by Riders4Rights! Featuring Louise, the volunteer for the day.

How?

We partner with local mutual aid organizations, like Riders4Rights and Collective Focus, who host regular food and clothing distributions.

While community members are waiting in line for the distribution to begin, we take their orders and deliver them free cups of tea.

Why?

To add dignity to these essential distribution events. Waiting in line for food can be an uncomfortable (especially in the cold!) and sensitive experience.

Being served a free cup of tea is a gesture of trust, care, and mutual respect.

A Lunar New Year themed 🥬 Distro in collaboration with Collective Focus! Featuring Archie, Miles (me), and Crystal.

Can I help?

Yes! We are always looking for volunteers to help us serve tea at 🥬 Distros. We share opportunities via our Instagram, but feel free to reach out to us if you're interested.

FREE TEA FOR ALL! Thanks Adin for volunteering!
