What's a ⛩️ Popup?

Events during which we serve free tea at public parks or community events.

When?

We host Popups year-round on a weekly basis, usually on Sundays. Check out our calendar to see upcoming Popups!

Bob receives a free cup of tea from Serena in Herbert von King Park (BedStuy, Brooklyn).

Where?

Our most frequent Popup locations are Maria Hernandez Park (Bushwick) and Herbert von King Park (BedStuy) – we host a Popup in these parks at least once a month.

Otherwise, most of our Popups take place in Brooklyn, but we've hosted quite a few in Manhattan and Queens as well.

Why?

We host Popups to create accessible spaces for community in our lonely world. We're inspired by the teahouses of Southwest Asia and North Africa (SWANA), which serve as hubs for casual gatherings and conversation.

Popups are an opportunity to connect with neighbors, practice stillness in a busy city, and build relationships with public spaces.
